The first of two Water Wise Workshops takes place this Thursday, May 7th, 7 to 9 pm, at the Public Safety Center EOC Room, 702 Main St. The subject will be “Protecting Plantings” – advice on how to maintain your landscape in times of drought. The workshops are free, put on by the City of Winters, and all attendees will receive a free soil moisture meter. The speakers will be Linda Magnum from Yolo County Master Gardeners and Jeanette Wrysinski from the Yolo County Resource Conservation District.
